A sleek, woven, cotton pinstripe - this fabric is extremely versatile. It can be used for anything from shirts (would make a great collar) and jackets to homewares such as a quilt or pillowcases. This would also make a great lining for pockets in pants or for a jacket.
That white version would certainly be beautiful naturally-dyed...
Nani-Iro is a company founded by Naomi Ito, a Japanese watercolor artist. Naomi creates gorgeous paintings that are transferred to cloth through screen-printing. Many of the designs on her fabrics are asymmetrical. There are often slight nuances, such as a splash of luminescent metallic paint, that are mostly seen when the light hits the fabric from a different direction (such as the silver pinstripe that can be found on the white fabric listed here). It is such subtle touches and artistry that make us fall in love with Nani-Iro fabrics again and again. Made in Japan.
